Mabel's FIRST Birthday <3

I'm so excited to share this session I can barely stand it! The session was *thisclose* to being rescheduled due to thunderstorms. We decided to take the risk and I met the family in their back yard. It's easy to forget just how beautiful the north country can be. If these images don't have you convinced that a backyard and northern new york is the perfect backdrop, I don't know what will.

Mabel walked all over the place and was determined to grab all the leaves on the trees.

She started the session straight-faced and unimpressed with the photographer, adorable nonetheless.

The interaction between this gorgeous family was what made this session so amazing.

We ended the session in a downpour. Luckily, we were able to hide beneath some trees to get a few more shots.

And of course, the rain lent some magic to this image in front of an old schoolhouse that happens to be in their backyard.
